A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Daboikiabo Warmate, has reiterated that the party will not endorse the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
Warmate made this disclosure on Friday during an interview on Trust TV monitored by DAILY POST.
He was speaking on the 2027 general elections, insisting that the PDP would field its own presidential candidate.
“That position to support President Tinubu is just a personal position of the FCT Minister. It’s not the position of the party.
The PDP position is that we will produce a presidential candidate from the top. So we are not considering the presidential candidate or endorsing the sitting president in the APC.
“As a party, we will produce our candidate. Wike has the position that states that it’s Wike’s personal position and his entitled to his opinion and his position.
“But what PDP stands for is for us to produce a credible candidate from the south, having zoned the presidency to the south and putting into consideration what led to this crisis,” Warmate said.
