Abducted Katsina couple and their daughter freed after N50m ransom was paid

A Katsina businessman, Anas Ahmadu, his seven-month pregnant wife, Halimatu, and their two-year-old daughter, have regained their freedom three weeks after being kidnapped. The victims were released on Wednesday night, September 17, after spending 21 days in captivity. A relative of the family told Daily Trust that a ransom of N50 million was paid to secure their release. Alhamdulillah! Anas, Halimatu, and their daughter have been released by their captors tonight. They are on their way home.
