
Two European clubs have reacted to Super Eagles’ 2-0 win against Algeria in the AFCON quarter-final tie on Saturday.
The clubs are Sevilla and Besiktas, respectively.
Recall that Nigeria defeated the Desert Foxes, thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.
The Super Eagles will now face AFCON host Morocco in the semi-final in the coming days.
Recall that Morocco had also defeated Cameroon 2-0 in their quarter-final encounter played on Friday.
Reacting, Besiktas, who have Wilfred Ndidi in their squad, tweeted: “We congratulate our footballer Wilfred Ndidi and his country Nigeria for advancing to the semi-finals by defeating Algeria 2-0 in the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Good luck on the road to the final, Ndidi.”
Also, Sevilla, who have Adams in their squad, tweeted: “AKORRRRRRR,” alongside with a fist bump emoji.
