[This Day] There are speculations that the name, Nigeria, has the likelihood to be changed to 'United States of Nigeria' by end of December 2026, that is, under the current political dispensation. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PMB) has reportedly denied any intention to send a draft bill to that effect to the National Assembly. However, Vie Internationale considers that, in the event of a change of name, it will only be change-in-continuity: change of name and continuity of the well-known national problems.
