APC elects Kekemeke, others as South-West zonal leaders

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has  re-elected Dr. Isaac Kekemeke as its South-West zonal chairman.

Kekemeke was elected with seven other zonal executive members by consensus at the APC South-West Zonal Congress held on Wednesday in Lagos.

In his address at the forum, the Chairman of the APC Zonal Congress Committee, Mr. Jide Jimoh, said at least 1,398 delegates, drawn from six states in the South-West were accredited for the congress.

According to him, Lagos had 337 accredited delegates; Ondo, 245; Oyo, 243; Osun, 156; Ekiti, 211; and Ogun, 206.

The elected zonal executive members were – Alfred Aluko (Secretary), Ismail Majaro (Legal Adviser), Lateef Ibirogba (Organising Secretary), and Ayobami Afolabi (Publicity Secretary).

Others were – Mrs. Oyetunde Adesanya (Woman Leader), Mr. Daramola Adesuyi (Youth Leader), and Mr. Dayo Ishola (Representative of Persons With Disability).

Jimoh said: ‘The South-West had always been blessed  with great and impactful leaders.

“Our zone has always been a hub of progress in politics. We must hold ourselves together and tight.”
