The Action People’s Party (APP) on Friday produced four House of Representatives candidates in a primary election held in Lagos.
The election was conducted in Ojo, Oshodi-Isolo 2, Surulere 2 and Amuwo-Odofin federal constituencies.
and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
In his remark after the exercise, the Chairman of the APP House of Representatives Primary Election Committee, Mr.Nobert Onwumelu,
said the party flag bearers emerged through consensus arrangements.

Onwumelu, after voice votes and affirmation by delegates in each of constituencies, declared Folorunsho Adebayo (Ojo), Angela Okpalaniukwu (Oshodi-Isolo 2), Omotolani Osho (Amuwo-odofin) and Isaaq Kazeem (Surulere 2) as the party’s candidates.
He said the Electoral Act provided for either direct primaries or consensus arrangements for the emergence of party candidates, adding that the APP adopted the latter.
He commended INEC officials for monitoring the primaries and ensuring compliance with electoral guidelines during the exercise.
The committee chairman urged party members to remain focused and united ahead of the elections, saying that cohesion within the party would strengthen its chances at the polls.
