Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, have released footage of its Eid al-Fitr prayers held near Lake Chad on Friday.
In the video, hundreds of fighters from Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) could be seen gathered in large numbers.
The prayers were led by an Imam identified as Abu Umaimah.
Notably, Bakura Doro was absent from the prayer ground.
In the clips, released on Saturday by the group’s platform, AZ-ZALLAQA, the militants are shown lined up in formation, observing the Eid prayers in congregation while clutching AK-47 rifles and other high-grade weapons, underscoring their continued operational presence in Borno State.
