Brazil’s president has urged major world powers to rethink their approach after failing to stop the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Speaking at an international summit of progressive leaders in Barcelona, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called on the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council to change direction and take greater responsibility for global peace.

He also criticised U.S. President Donald Trump over his frequent social media posts aimed at Iran.
