The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced the redeployment of its deputy governors, effective June 1, 2026.
This is according to reassigned portfolios stated on the apex bank’s official website.
The move signals an internal portfolio realignment at a sensitive point in the monetary and financial system reform cycle.
Accordingly, Mr Philip Ikeazor was moved to Economic Policy, Muhammad Sani Abdullahi was reassigned to Corporate Services, Emem Usoro took responsibility for Operations and Lamido Yuguda moved to Financial System Stability.
In a nutshell, the reshuffling placed experienced hands across policy, operations, institutional administration, and systemic risk oversight.
DAILY POST reports that CBN is led by Governor Olayemi Cardoso together with four deputy governors.
The development comes days after the apex bank Monetary Policy Committee held its 305th meeting which retain interest rate at 26.50 percent.
