Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, aka Davido,may have confirmed his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Adeleke had on Saturday told journalists he was “consulting” with friends and associates about the switch of political allegiance.
The governor’s nephew has therefore confirmed the development with the new album titled: “From Umbrella to Broom.”
Many people see the song as a confirmation of the switch because the “umbrella” represents the PDP and the “broom” for the APC.

Davido chorused in the album that a switch to the APC bring progress to Osun State.
“New broom go sweep better. Ẹtan abẹla si ìjọba wa. From umbrella to the broom. Adegbe adafa, alagbada alefa.
“Eyan marun, mefa, kilode ta n suffer. New broom go sweep better. Them tori us propaganda from January to December we no gbadun NEPA.
“So all of our youths wan go America,” meaning (why are we suffering when the new broom can sweep better), “he sang.
