The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has assumed duty on Wednesday.
This is coming after President Bola Tinubu decorated him earlier.
DAILY POST had reported that President Tinubu on Wednesday decorated Disu with his new rank as the Acting Inspector-General of Police at the State House, Abuja.
This follows the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun, who was appointed on June 19, 2023, over family reasons.
DAILY POST reports that the new IGP took his first salute from members of the Quarter Guard and police officers at the Force Headquarters after returning from the Presidential Villa, where he was decorated.
