Men of the Department of State Services (DSS) have rescued the Administrative Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area of Kano State, Alhaji Hamza Durya.
Durya was abducted by gunmen at his residence in Durya village, Kibiya LGA, on Friday night.
The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday in the state capital.
He said DSS operatives arrested two suspects in a coordinated operation to rescue the victim.

“This is a welcome development and a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our security agencies,” the statement read.
“The achievement underscores the impact of sustained efforts to combat criminal activities across the 44 local government areas of Kano State.”
