EFCC arrests energy commission boss for alleged N500bn fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Mustapha Abdullahi, for alleged money laundering, The Punch reports.

A source in the EFCC confirmed the news to journalists on Wednesday .

He said Abdullahi was arrested in Abuja and is currently in the commission’s custody for interrogation on alleged N500 billion fraud.

President Bola Tinubu appointed Abdullahi as Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria on October 24, 2023.
