The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the factional Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently holding a crucial meeting in Abuja aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and resolving outstanding party matters.

In his opening remarks, BoT Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, reaffirmed the commitment of the board to rebuilding trust within the party and ensuring that congresses are conducted in all states where they remain pending.

“We are determined to restore confidence in our great party,” Ohuabunwa told members, stressing that the national leadership is prepared to work closely with state chapters to “bring fresh leadership and stability across the country.”

He explained that the PDP’s roadmap includes conducting overdue state congresses, consolidating ongoing efforts, and supporting national leaders in steering the party back on track.

“These steps are critical to ensuring unity, transparency and strengthening our grassroots engagement,” he said.

By holding timely congresses and enforcing organizational discipline, the faction hopes it will rebuild trust among party members and present a more credible and cohesive front ahead of future elections.
