A tragic incident in Ngimbo, Mbadam Mbatierev, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, claimed the life of Mr. Chiahemba Tarpav on Friday, September 19, 2025, when a tree suddenly collapsed, leaving seven people injured.
The wounded victims are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
The immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has visited the family of the deceased to offer his condolences.
During the visit, he paid the medical bills of the seven injured victims and promised to assist with funeral arrangements for Mr. Chiahemba.
Describing the accident as “deeply saddening,” Dajoh urged the bereaved family and the injured to remain steadfast in faith and find comfort in God.
He was represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Terkuma Jiki, and accompanied by his former Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Zamber, as well as Senior Special Assistant on Research and Documentation, Mr. Antony Chie.
