Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday said the promises President Bola Tinubu made to the people of the capital city in the area of road infrastructure have been fulfilled.
The minister spoke during the commissioning of the Old Keffi Road from Kado Fish Market to Deidei to mark Tinubu’s third year in office.
According to Wike, Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is giving hope to the hopeless in the capital city.
Wike said: “Today the July 2nd, we are here to commission this road not less than 16 km, we are very happy that all the promises that Mr President made to the people around this area have been fulfilled. The other day when we went to flag off one of the roads in Gaduwa, I saw people carrying banners showing how bad the road is and Today again they have come her with that banner.
“Mr President has repeatedly said that once they are aware of your problems particularly as it leads to roads where there will be connectivity, where you can go to your farms, I have told the ES of FCDA to tell Lubriks to immediately move to this area and do the road for you.
“Mr President, the whole essence of the renewed hope agenda is to bring back hope where people have lost hope and I’m sure those from this community will never forget Mr President and Mr President that is what you took the oath of office for.
“I thank you for approving the construction of this road and I have told Lubriks as usual to make sure work starts.”
