At least five persons died in a lone accident along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State on Thursday.
The Spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Superintendent Route Commander Afolabi Odunsi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta.
He said 10 others sustained injuries in the accident which occurred at about 11.12 a.m.
He added that one white Mazda E2000 bus with registration number KRD 809XC was involved in the cradh.
According to him. 20 people comprising six men, 11 women, one male child, and two female children were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

“The five persons who died in the accident were one man, two women, a male child, and one female child.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the probable causes of the crash were speeding and overloading, as the road was paved and weather condition at the time of the incident was cloudy.
“The corpses of victims were taken to General Hospital, in Ifo, while some survivors are receiving treatment at the same hospital and General Oreofe Specialist Hospital, Itori,” the FRSC spokesman stated.
