Focus on Nigeria’s problems, not Trump, US – Bakatsine tells Shehu Sani

A conflict and insecurity journalist, Bakatsine, has criticised former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, over his comments on global politics, urging him to focus on Nigeria’s internal challenges.

Bakatsine made the remark in a post on X on Sunday while reacting to a statement by Shehu Sani on the political situation in the United States.

He questioned why the former senator was more concerned about developments in America while Nigeria continues to grapple with insecurity and other pressing problems.

“Senator, you’ve been after what’s going on in America while our beloved nation (Nigeria) has its own challenges which you don’t want to talk about, why?” Bakatsine wrote.

Earlier, Shehu Sani had posted on X: “In view of the global political situation, uncertainty and tension precipitated by Mr Trump, it’s a blessing for those nations that didn’t qualify for the FIFA World Cup.”
