Fulham manager Marco Silva has praised Samuel Chukwueze for his decisive contribution in the club’s dramatic 2–1 victory over Brighton at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Nigerian winger came off the bench to help turn the game around, scoring Fulham’s equaliser 18 minutes from time to reignite the contest.
Chukwueze made the most of Joachim Andersen’s well-weighted pass, timing his run perfectly before finishing calmly to draw the Whites level.
Fulham went on to complete the comeback in stoppage time when Harry Wilson curled home a superb free kick to seal all three points.

Speaking after the match, Silva highlighted the importance of Chukwueze’s movement and awareness against Brighton’s aggressive pressing style.
“The reality is that we scored a great goal for us—simple, but great,” Silva said. “The pass from Joachim, the opposite run from Chukwu, and they know we need it against teams that come to press so high.”
Silva added that the winger’s willingness to run in behind was key to the equaliser, describing it as “a great moment” from both Andersen and Chukwueze. The AC Milan loanee has now registered three goals and four assists in 10 league appearances for Fulham this season.
