Gbajabiamila vs Adeyemi: Setup judicial commission of enquiry – Hakeem Baba-Ahmed to Presidency

Former presidential aide, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, on Thursday said a judicial commission of enquiry should be set up over the saga involving President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila and the purported Director-General of the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, Adeniyi Adeyemi.

Baba-Ahmed said the commission of enquiry should probe the integrity of those involved in the saga from the Presidency.

Posting on X, Baba-Ahmed insisted that the Presidency can’t probe itself.

He wrote: “A Judicial Commission of Enquiry should be set up to establish all facets of the very serious breach in institutional integrity and roles of persons related to the Presidency and related parts of govt regarding the Adeyemi scandal. This govt cannot and should not probe itself.

“I never thought I would see a scandal designed and built by an administration which has sucked- in every source of unravelling or exposing and punishing those who are responsible for it.

“Strong-man politics, weakened administration and corruption have combined to expose the FGN.”

On June 11, 2026 Gbajabiamila denied knowledge of Adeyemi when he presented himself as the Director General of PFIPC which he claimed was non-existent.

Gbajabiamila said he petitioned security agencies in October 2025 after forged appointment letters surfaced and Adeyemi was later charged before the Federal High Court for forgery, impersonation and obtaining by false pretence.

Reacting, Adeyemi dismissed all the allegations against him, saying he was ready to clear his name in court.

While calling for an independent investigation, President Bola Tinubu ordered a probe into the allegations.
