Iga Swiatek wrote her name into the history book of the Grand Slam following her flawless victory over Amanda Anisimova.

Iga Swiatek became the second person in Open Era to win a grand Slam singles final without losing a game. The Polish international defeated her American counterpart 6-0 6-0 in less than one hour.

This is not just the first time in the Open Era but the first time since 1911 that a player has won a women’s singles final at the All England Lawn Tennis Club without dropping a game.

It is also just the second time ever in the modern era which began in 1968 that a grand slam singles final has been won in such a manner, after Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva 6-0, 6-0 at Roland Garros in 1988, according to Opta.

The other was the 1988 French Open final. The only other time it happened in the history of tennis was the 1911 Wimbledon.

French Open: 4 titles — 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024

US Open: 1 title — 2022

Wimbledon: 1 title — 2025
