Kebbi Hisbah arrests man for hiding 'missing girl' in hotel

Officials of Hisbah Agency under the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Kebbi State have arrested a man for hiding a girl in a hotel in Birnin Kebbi. Preliminary investigation revealed that the girl had been declared missing by her parents.  The agencys director of Sharia, Malam Sirajo Kamba, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, May 29, 2026 said the suspect from Abuja allegedly hid the girl in a hotel after she left her parents house in Rafin Atiku Villa area in Birnin Kebbi metropolis without their knowledge. Kamba added that the two suspects had spent two days in the hotel and after interrogation confirmed that they were not married which contravened both Islamic teachings and cultural practices in the state. The director therefore advised parents to always keep watch on their children, especially the movement of the females. The post Kebbi Hisbah arrests man for hiding 'missing girl' in hotel appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
