Kefas constitutes security advisory committee in Taraba

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba state, has approved the constitution of a Security Advisory Committee aimed at strengthening security management and coordination across the state.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Jalingo by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps.

According to the statement, the committee is made up of experienced retired senior security officers drawn from various arms of Nigeria’s security architecture.

The committee is expected to provide expert advice to the state government on emerging security threats and strategies for effective response.

Those appointed into the committee include retired Deputy Director-General of the Department of State Services, Jonathan Kure; Boniface Robert Sinjen; Henry Tafida Wesley; Abubakar Adamu; J. Akila; Kabir Aliyu; Hassan Hosea Karma; Edward Bobsom Umar; S.S. Garba; Gani Danyaya; and DT Audu.

The state government said the committee would be formally inaugurated by governor Kefas in due course.

It added that the committee would immediately begin work on advising the government on policy options and operational strategies aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the state.
