Marriage therapist reacts after Nigerian woman advised women not to love their husbands but view them as partners

A marriage therapist, Shamseddin Giwa, has reacted after one Esther Nnamani advised women not to love their husbands but instead see them as partners Esther argued that viewing a husband simply as a partner can help manage expectations, making misbehaviour and betrayal easier to bear.  Responding to her comment, Mr Giwa stated that Esther's mindset is wrong and unhealthy, stressing that a woman must love her husband.  "Dear Esther, I dont know what created this mindset for you but it is wrong and not healthy," he wrote.  "A woman is supposed to marry and love her husband (as a man is supposed to love his wife). "Are there cases where this doesnt happen. Yes. Does that mean it should be the standard? Absolutely not. "The same energy used to push this narrative can be used in a constructive way showing women how to get better results from their marriages beginning with making better choices of men. "Im sorry if it is a series of bad experiences that have led you here and hope, maybe someday, with a more open and positive mindset, you find a man that treats you good and shows you what appreciated love means. I wish you the best. The post Marriage therapist reacts after Nigerian woman advised women not to love their husbands but view them as partners appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
