The Nigerian currency, the naira halted days of depreciation against the United States dollar at the official window on Wednesday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,370.56/$1, compared to N1,375.62/$1 on Tuesday.
This represents a gain of N5.06 for the local currency against the dollar.
At the black market, the naira lost N6 against the dollar, trading at N1,400/$1, as against the previous day’s N1,396$1.

The local currency lost N5 against the British Pound, trading at N1,885/£1, as against the previous day’s N1,880/£1.
The naira closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,100/CA$1.
It lost N5 against the euro, trading at ₦1,625/€1, as against the previous day’s ₦1,620/€1.
