The Nigerian currency, the naira, slumped marginally again against the United States dollar at the official window on Friday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,371.04/$1, compared to N1,370.88/$1 on Thursday.
This represents a loss of N0.16 for the local currency against the dollar.
At the black market, the naira lost N2 against the dollar, trading at N1,400/$1, compared with the previous day’s N1,398/$1.

The local currency closed flat against the British Pound and Canadian dollar, trading at N1,880/£1 and N1,100/CA$1, respectively.
The naira gained N5 against the euro, trading at ₦1,615/€1, as against the previous day’s ₦1,620/€1.
