The Nigerian currency, the naira, depreciated further against the United States dollar at the official window on Tuesday.
At the official window, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,386.71/$1, compared to N1,383.58/$1 on Monday.
This represents a loss of N3.13 for the local currency against the dollar.
At the black market, the naira lost N1 against the dollar, trading at N1,426/$1, as against N1,425/$1 the previous day.

The local currency lost N5 against the British Pound, trading at N1,925/£1, as against the previous day’s N1,920/£1.
The naira continued to close flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,000/CA$1.
It gained N5 against the euro, trading at ₦1,625/€1, as against the previous day’s ₦1,630/€1.
