The Nigerian currency, the naira, depreciated against the American dollar at the official window on Wednesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the naira closed at N1,494.01/$1, as against N1,484.13/$1 it traded on Tuesday.
This represents a depreciation of N9.88 for the local currency against the American greenback.

The naira closed flat against the dollar to trade at N1,535/$1.
It gained N5 against the British Pound to trade at N2,100/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,105/£1.
The naira also closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,230/CA$1.
Similarly, the local currency closed flat against the Euro to trade at ₦1,790/€1.
