As the Nigerian Army prepares for its 91st Regular Recruits Intake for all eligible Nigerians, the Chief of Administration, Army (COA), Major General I.M. Abdullahi, has charged officers involved in the recruitment exercise to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and accountability throughout the process.
Captain Abubakar Umar Hammanga, acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Directorate of Recruitment, Nigerian Army, Abuja, in a statement, said the COA made this known while declaring open the coordinating conference for the 91 regular recruits intake at the Army War College Nigeria.
With the theme, “Strategies for a Transparent, Merit-Based Nigerian Army Recruitment Process”, Maj. Gen. Abdullahi stated that maintaining a merit-based recruitment process through integrity, transparency and accountability is paramount, as this will enhance the recruitment process and determine the quality of personnel enlisted into the service.
He also stated the need for temporary recruitment officers to ensure full compliance with enlistment policies and regulations, while also ensuring equitable representation across all geopolitical zones.
