Chairman of the Nigeria National League, NNL, George Aluo, has defended the eligibility of Remo Stars and Beyond Limits to participate in the league next season.
Remo Stars and Beyond Limits are owned by businessman and football investor Kunle Soname.
The clubs’ ownership has raised fears of a conflict of interest should they compete in the same division.
Aluo said the ownership and operational structure of the Ikenne-based clubs do not violate the league’s regulations.
“On paper, the two clubs have different ownership and management structures,” Aluo told Sport Village Square.
“Sharing facilities doesn’t automatically amount to a breach of integrity.
“To preserve sporting integrity, we will ensure that Remo Stars and Beyond Limits are placed in different groups.”
