An eyewitness who claimed to have witnessed the scene of the kidnap of a sister to former minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu and her twin boys has narrated what transpired during the operation.
Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her twin sons were kidnapped on Wednesday around the Elewura, Challenge area of Ibadan on Wednesday.
Reports indicate that Mrs Olaide is the youngest of the five children of Mrs. Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke Adelabu. She is a younger sibling of the immediate past Minister of Power and APC governorship aspirant, Adebayo Adelabu.
The witness who spoke on condition of anonimity, recounted that the victims were attacked around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday while on her way to drop her children at school.
According to the eyewitness account, the gunmen were shooting sporadically to scare the residents and passersby who might attempt to block their ways.

He added that, the gunmen might have been waiting for her around her residence located around Elewura, Challenge area, adding that the operation seem premeditated and planned.
He noted that it was the sporadic gunshots that attracted people to the scene of the incident but that before anybody could do anything, the operation had been completed.
“The woman was forced out of her red Hyundai Sonata car and was driven away alongside her children in a car brought by the kidnappers.
“Even when we got to the car, the engine and air conditioner were still running and people were scared to even touch it.
“We are not sure of how many they were because the operation was almost ended before people would notice anything.
“It was like they drove to overtake the car on the quite road and they burst out on RingRoad and headed towards Challenge area.
“The street has been quite since the incident as people still could not believe the incident.
“Many people who were not aware of the incident also recognised the car and the owner and they knew her husband lives abroad. She is a family member of Adebayo Adelabu.
“People could not even come out, but were only peeping to see what was happening when the noise of the gunshot attracted them to come out”, the source explained.
The Oyo State Polcie Command had earlier confirmed the incident noting that Investigations into the matter had began.
