Wikki Tourists technical adviser Abdullahi Maikaba, has expressed disappointment with his team’s 2-1 defeat to El-Kanemi Warriors in their matchday nine encounter.
Emmanuel Jonas and Samaila Bello scored early to give El-Kanemi Warriors a 2-0 lead, before Abdullahi Usman pulled one back for Wikki Tourists.
Maikaba believed his players gave their all despite the defeat.
“We played very well and deserved more from this game,” Maikaba reacted after the game.
“I commend my players for their fighting spirit and determination. It’s unfortunate we couldn’t get at least a point.”
The defeat extended Wikki Tourists’ winless run to six matches.
The Bauchi Elephants occupy 16th position on the league table with nine points.
