Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions, Remo Stars have dismissed speculations that their head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has resigned from the post.
Ogunmodede was reported to have quit the position on Tuesday following the Sky Blue Stars poor start to the 2025/26 season.
The Ikenne club currently occupy 17th position on the NPFL table with 10 points from eight games.
Remo Stars were also eliminated from the CAF Champions League last month following a 7-1 aggregate defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
The club in a statement released on Wednesday confirmed Ogunmodede remain their head coach.
“Remo Stars Football Club wishes to clarify that our head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, remains an integral part of our technical crew and continues to serve as the head coach of Remo Stars FC,” the statement read.
The young tactician, who is an assistant coach with the Super Eagles will travel with other members of backroom staff this weekend to Rabat , Morocco for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs tie with Gabon.
