Osun Babes have secured a return to Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The Osun State government confirmed this in a press release signed by the senior special assistant on football matters, Kehinde Johnson.
It would be recalled that Osun Babes failed to gain promotion back to the top-flight from the NWFL championship tournament last month.
According to the release, the decision to secure a return for the Osun State female team is aimed at the government’s commitment to nurturing and promoting sports development, particularly women’s football.
Osun Babes were relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2022-23 season.
A date for the 2025-26 NWFL season is yet to be announced by the organisers.
