A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Austin Okai has condemned the decision of the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, for sacking a loyalist of his estranged political godfather, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
DAILY POST recalls that barely a day after the governor announced his resignation from the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, he sacked his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Sunusi Surajo, a loyalist of Kwankwaso.
The governor then announced Mustapha Bakwana, a former Special Adviser to former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as Surajo’s replacement.
Reacting, Okai in a statement on his Facebook page on Sunday lamented that the hard-fought mandate of Kwankwaso is being handed over to Ganduje, a known rival of Kwankwaso.
He wrote, “Governor Abba Yusuf appoints Mustapha Bakwana, a former political adviser to ex-Governor Ganduje, as his new political adviser, replacing Surajo Kwankwaso.
“You can now see that he is now dancing toward the music of Ganduje.
“Remember Kwankwaso fought tirelessly with Ganduje to deliver Abba, only for Abba to join forces with Ganduje after he was delivered and fight RMK.
“You can see why you hardly see politicians complaining about HBP, Because HBP and real politics are 5 and 6”.
