Presidential aide Dada Olusegun has countered claims that President Bola Tinubu is dodging responsibility for the abduction of students and teachers in Oyo State or shifting blame to Governor Seyi Makinde. He stated that, unlike former President Goodluck Jonathan, the current administration has taken full responsibility for the crisis. An X user resurfaced an old tweet by Tinubu from the Goodluck Jonathan era, in which Tinubu stated that the responsibility of governance and national security ultimately stops at the president's table.
