Oyo State All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant and Baàmèkó of Ibadanland, Oloye Saheed Oladele, has reportedly survived an assassination attempt while returning from a political engagement in Lagos.
In a statement issued on Sunday, December 28, 2025, by Maroof Asudemade, Director of Media and Publicity of the Saheed Oladele Support Foundation, it was disclosed that Oladele’s convoy came under attack during the trip.
The gubernatorial aspirant’s vehicle was allegedly struck by a projectile.
The statement suggested that the attack may be connected to Oladele’s rising popularity and growing acceptance among voters in Oyo State, which it said poses a threat to individuals who had previously underestimated his political influence.
