The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Tunga Ward of Awe Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, has suspended an aspirant for the Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency seat, Jamilu Ibrahim Idris, over allegations of repeated misconduct and actions considered damaging to the party’s image.

The decision was disclosed in a statement issued by the ward executive committee, which accused the aspirant of engaging in activities capable of discrediting senior party leaders and causing unrest within the party structure.

According to the statement, Idris allegedly filed a series of petitions against prominent party figures based on what the ward described as false claims, a situation it said fueled tension, mistrust, and political division among members.

The ward executives noted that the suspension became necessary to protect the unity and integrity of the party and to prevent what they termed “retrogressive political conduct” from escalating further.

As part of the disciplinary measures, the aspirant was suspended for one month and referred to the Ward Disciplinary Committee, WDC, for further investigation and possible sanctions.

The statement also directed him to stay away from all party-related activities pending the outcome of the disciplinary process.
