Talk about a full circle moment! Our favourite music power couple, Simi and Adekunle Gold, have officially expanded their beautiful tribe, and the internet is currently a puddle of joy. Simi took to Instagram today to share the news we’ve all been waiting for with a simple yet punchy caption: “+1. 3.10.26. God bless my little family #mommyof2.”
This lovely news comes exactly as the world was still reeling from that stunning announcement video they dropped earlier this year. Remember when Adekunle Gold used the visuals for “My Love Is The Same” from his latest album, “Fuji,” to reveal they were expecting? It was such a cool, understated way to share their journey, letting the music and the imagery do the talking. Since then, we’ve been on bump watch, and the wait is finally over.

To announce the arrival, Simi shared a set of photos that perfectly capture this new chapter. One image is a striking, minimalist silhouette where she stands in profile against a circular backlit glow, her form-fitting bodysuit highlighting the journey of motherhood in the most timeless way. Then there’s the coordinated denim look that is pure goals—Simi in a lace-up denim crop top and wide-leg trousers, leaning into Adekunle who looks sharp in a matching short-sleeved denim shirt and seamed jeans.
This new addition arrives nearly six years after the couple welcomed their first child, the ever-so-sweet Adejare, back in May 2020. Watching Deja grow up has been a joy for fans, and now she’s officially a big sister! The comment section is already a sea of love and virtual champagne toasts. Temi Otedola popped in to say, “Beautiful. Congratulations!!” while the man of the hour, Adekunle Gold, couldn’t hide his excitement, commenting, “Daddy of 2, and My Baby Omo Nla 
.”
