"My daughters will grow up to understand that men are polygamous in nature" - Abia LG Deputy Mayor says as she accuses women of teaching the next generation to cheat back

The Deputy Mayor of Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Anya, has called out women, accusing them of proudly teaching the next generation of women that the best punishment for a cheating husband is to cheat back.  Anya, who stated this in a Facebook post on Sunday, May 17, 2026, said her daughters will grow up to understand that men are polygamous in nature and that a married woman sleeping with another man is an abomination in Igbo land.   According to the Deputy Mayor, she would gladly accept her daughters back if they cannot emotionally withstand their husband's infidelity. My gender is proudly teaching the next generation that the best punishment for a cheating husband is to cheat back, she wrote. "Ooh ye! If ur husband cheats, cheat back. Once youre caught. We will all be here to defend you shamelessly.  "My own daughters will grow up to understand that men are polygamous in nature, thats how God wired them. "If u find out that your husband is cheating and you cant emotionally withstand it, come back to my house Nwam! I will proudly receive you back. "They will grow up to understand that sleeping with another man while still in their husbands houses is an abomination in Igbo land. For my gender, zuzuwanu!
