Many civilians abducted by bandits in Dan Jibga community, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, have been rescued by security forces.
The rescue was disclosed in a post shared on X on Wednesday by security analyst, Bakatsine.
According to the post, the rescued persons were formally received by the Chairman of Tsafe Local Government Area in the presence of security operatives before being moved to a medical facility for immediate and ongoing treatment.
Among those freed are victims with serious injuries, a woman who recently gave birth, and others who were in very weak conditions and unable to stand without help.
“Several civilians abducted by bandits in Dan Jibga, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, have been rescued. The victims were received by the Chairman of Tsafe LGA alongside security personnel and immediately evacuated to a medical facility for urgent and continued care.
“Those rescued include people with severe injuries, a nursing mother, and others who were so weak they could not stand on their own. Their state reflects the deep humanitarian consequences of persistent banditry in Zamfara State and across Northwest Nigeria,” he wrote.
