Security: If almighty Trump can’t do it alone, who am I – Tinubu

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has said that no individual can do anything in isolation.

Tinubu said this on Thursday at the African CEO Forum in Rwanda.

The president was responding to a question on how he manages the partnership between America and France regarding security.

According to him, United States President Donald Trump, despite his boldness, is in China talking about Taiwan.

Tinubu stressed the need to pursue pragmatic collaboration and partnership, which he said is necessary to enhance the security of the lives and property of the Nigerian people.

“Security challenges will always be there. Those are things you cannot do alone. You can’t operate the world in isolation. Even Trump, as bold as he is, is in China talking about Taiwan. So, who am I in Nigeria to say I will do it alone?

“I must embrace my neighbours. I must pursue pragmatic collaboration partnership, which is very necessary to assist and make progress and enhance the security of life and properties of the people,” he said.
