Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle says his team is battle ready for the Unity Cup final against the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica, DAILY POST reports.
The three-time African champions will be meeting Jamaica for the third time in the final of the invitational tournament at the Valley on Saturday.
The two countries battled to a 2-2 draw during regulation time of last year’s final, before the Super Eagles prevailed 5-4 on penalities.
Chelle stated that his team is fully prepared to handle any situation that may arise during Saturday’s match.
“Penalties are part of the game, and it can decide who wins a match. Every time I go into a game, I have the mentality to win,” Chelle told thenff.com.
“This is the culture I have put in these boys – the winning culture. I don’t know if Saturday’s game will end in penalties; what I know is that I have prepared my team to win.”
The encounter will kick-off at 5.30pm Nigeria time.
It will be preceded by the third-place play-off between Zimbabwe ,and India.
