Suspected 15-year-old terrorist arrested in Borno

Troops of 149 Battalion Operation HADIN KAI in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have arrested a suspected teenage terrorist in Gubio town, Borno. The suspect, identified as Umar Zacharria, 15, was arrested during a joint operation by troops and CJTF operatives. Security analyst Zagazola Makam, who disclosed this on May 22, 2026 said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect hailed from Jere Local Government Area and allegedly confessed to being among terrorists terrorising motorists along the Kareto general area. According to the sources, the suspect is currently in the custody of the military for further investigation. The post Suspected 15-year-old terrorist arrested in Borno appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
