
Men of the Edo state police command have apprehended a suspected k!dnapper, 18-year-old Mohammed Zaradeen Saleh, inside a forest along the Ewu-Auchi road on Sunday, May 17. According to a statement released by the command, operatives of Police Mobile Force Base 82, Uromi, swiftly stormed the forest following credible intelligence from a concerned citizen on the suspicious movement of suspected kidnappers within the area. The command said during the operation, the suspects took to their heels upon sighting the Police and were given a hot chase, leading to the arrest of othe suspect while three others escaped. Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the suspect belongs to a k!dnapping syndicate. The suspect confessed that two fleeing members of the gang, identified as Musa Shedau and Abdulmumini, are in possession of firearms. Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the command's spokesperson, ASP Eno Ikoede, said efforts are on top gear to track down and apprehend the fleeing suspects and recover their weapons. The post
