Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has assured band!ts operating in forests across the North-West that the government is prepared to support and reintegrate those who genuinely abandon criminal activities and embrace peace. Tribune reports that the governor made the appeal on during the inauguration of 152 housing units built for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Jibia Local Government Area of the stateon Thursday, June 11. Radda urged those involved in band!try, k!dnapping and other v!olent crimes to lay down their arms and return to their communities, stressing that lasting peace and prosperity can only be achieved through lawful means and honest labour. To those our brothers and sisters in the bush or in the forest, to those who still raise weapons against our own people, to those who have taken to band!try, k!dnapping and v!olence, hear me very well today.
