Deputy Director of the Socio-Economic Rights And Accountability Project, SERAP, Kolawole Oluwadare, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of not being interested in fighting corruption.
Oluwadare made this allegation on Monday during an interview on ‘Launch Politics’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by DAILY POST.
When asked about some former ministers under probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, he said, “Most of those names, if not all, have some kind of political thing to it.
“And that is why in fighting corruption, you must be very clear. Fighting corruption is very objective. There was no political thing to it.
“Most of these names you mentioned have some kind of political issues with the ruling party and all, and perhaps that makes the so-called alleged fight looks subjective.
“As it were, this government, if you ask me, is not very interested in fighting corruption, at the least, they want to appear to fight corruption, but not really fighting it.”
