Erling Haaland’s father, Alfie and agent Rafaela Pimenta have clarified Real Madrid transfer agreement reports regarding the Manchester City striker.

Haaland’s name has been making headlines in the Spanish press in recent hours.

This comes after Enrique Riquelme, a candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, announced that he already had an agreement with the Norway international to sign a contract if he won the elections.

His statement caused such a stir that it prompted Alfie and Pimenta to publicly clarify the situation.

“All very entertaining but not true. We wish all the best for both candidates in the Real Madrid election,” a statement released jointly by Alfie and Pimenta reads.

Haaland signed a new long-term contract with Man City in January 2025, keeping him at the Premier League club until June 2034.
