Former Turkey referee, Ahmet Çakar has given a very positive review of Victor Osimhen.
He hailed Osimhen’s excellent professionalism and hard work both during and outside of matches.
Using his wide experience watching players in Europe and Turkey, Çakar pointed out what he believes makes Osimhen special— his strong sense of discipline, hard work, and love for competition, which separate him from most other players.
On the Libero TV YouTube channel, quoted by habersarikirmizi, Çakar said, “Osimhen is a very strange kid. I don’t know him at all. I don’t get the chance to really know him.”
He said that he watches the matches Osimhen plays and believes his professional dedication and ethics are perhaps the best at Galatasaray.
Çakar also looked more closely at Osimhen’s behaviour, saying that the player takes his duties very seriously and makes a big impression on people who watch him closely.
“He doesn’t just go along with things, he yells at his teammates, he doesn’t take things easy, he goes back to Turkey when his work is finished, and he doesn’t miss his plane,” he said.
The former referee also complimented Osimhen for his never-give-up attitude and hard work, saying his impact goes beyond just the numbers.
“He is a player who has very strong professional values. Even if he doesn’t score any goals, I really respect the effort and determination he puts in,” Çakar said.
However, Çakar also warned about the striker’s mood, especially when things get tough. He said that although Osimhen’s passionate side helps push him forward, it can also make him hard to predict.
“But don’t push Osimhen to the breaking point, I sensed it. I don’t know what Osimhen will do if he gets angry. That’s the kind of kid he is.
“That’s how he left Napoli in the first place,” he said.
The Super Eagles player was very important in Galatasaray’s 3-1 win against Fatih Karagümrük on Saturday night, scoring the team’s third goal in the second half.
