Two sentenced to three months imprisonment for indiscriminate refuse dumping

A magistrate court at Bolade Oshodi in Lagos State has sentenced two men to three months imprisonment for indiscriminate dumping of refuse. The defendants identified as Ibrahim Kashua and Kareem Sodiq, were arraigned before the court on Monday, May 18, 2026 over the environmental offence. The two men pleaded guilty to the charge and were subsequently convicted and sentenced by the court. The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed  this via his X handle. He wrote2 defendants were arraigned before the magistrate court sitting at Bolade Oshodi on 18th May, 2026 for indiscriminate dumping of refuse. They pled guilty and were convicted and sentenced to 3months in prison. Names:1. Ibrahim Kashua2.
